Extreme inequality is the defining challenge of our time, but it is not inevitable, and can be tackled. Much can be done to even it up, and make the world a fairer place.
In order to protect the integrity; rights and freedoms of individuals and ensure peaceful conflict resolution, well-functioning systems of justice are necessary that provide all – including the poor – with access to justice. Development and implementation of strategies related to equality, the rule of law, access to justice and human rights is fundamental.
We work in partnership with key organisations in the UK and around the world to promote gender equality, equality in education, employment opportunity and advancement and women empowerment. Our work is built on the premise towards ensuring a free and democratic society, where girls and women can have the same opportunities as men, are able to determine what governs their lives, express themselves freely and are respected. Freedoms, human rights and democracy are fundamental values and objectives in themselves and promoting them is a key priority in our development cooperation.
Democratic societies based on the rule of law provide equal opportunities for people to express themselves participate actively in society and make decisions about their own lives. A justice system that is well functioning and independent is an important precondition for economic growth and prosperity. Therefore, SpringAid Consultancy International C.I.C works to:
- Strengthen the implementation of human rights and access to justice.
- Support the development of girls and women in education, employment and business.
- Advocate for the rights of women and girls when and where ever it is challenged
- Campaign for equal opportunities alongside like-minded organisations.
Gender Inequality
We also explore issues around gender identity in the UK recognising that gender is not binary. We aim to tackle all forms of prejudice including gender discrimination. We want to highlight the benefits that diversity can bring. Gender equality is something that the UK continues to strive towards, but disparity of opportunity for women is still clear, a lack of senior roles for women in UK business and industry undermines our economy. However, gender roles are changing for both men and women in Britain and we must continue to ensure equal opportunities for both sexes., bearing in mind that gender issues are not limited to the study of women but also extend to the prejudices faced by men in society.
